Aerospace giant Airbus and FPT Software have jointly signed an agreement on applying the most up-to-date technologies on developing Airbus’s digital services platform Skywise.
The agreement is aimed to strengthen development of the Skywise ecosystem in Asia. Two parties will focus on designing and delivering Application Programming Interface for third party users, transforming and maintaining Skywise applications. FPT Software and Airbus also invests topics such as applications development on Skywise; migration of applications onto Skywise and maintenance of Skywise applications. Additionally, FPT Software will conduct training programs for both third party users and software developers.
The agreement makes FPT the first Southeast Asia’s representative to become a strategic partner in Digital Transformation with Airbus. Specially, FPT will take charge of applying Analytics of Big Data and AI on Skywise – a digital aviation data platform. Through the cooperation with Airbus – the European largest aerospace company with highly strict demands, FPT Software’s capabilities in aviation industry have been significantly proven.
That FPT cooperates with Airbus is expected to further foster the success of Skywise digital aviation data platform. Digital Transformation Officer of Airbus – Mr. Marc Fontaine also affirmed. “We are delighted to collaborate with FPT – a credible and innovative software partner – who will assist us to conquer challenges in Digital Transformation. FPT will develop and deploy Skywise applications, which is a perfect complement for Airbus. We are absolutely eager for further cooperation with the company”.
Prior to this, FPT Software and Airbus inked a Letter of Intent to cooperate in Aviation Technology in December 2017, which marks a significant milestone of FPT in the journey to become trusted partners of global leading technology corporations in developing and implementing digital platforms.
Skywise, “the beating heart of aviation”, is a strategic initiative at the core of Airbus digital. It aims to become the platform of reference used by all major aviation players to improve their operational performance and business results and to support their own digital transformation.
