KONICA MINOLTA FPT Solution Labs Inc., a joint venture between FPT Japan, the Japanese subsidiary of FPT, and Konica Minolta, a global leader in imaging and printing solutions, announces the establishment of its subsidiary in Hanoi, Vietnam, with a future delivery center in Da Nang City. The new entity, KONICA MINOLTA FPT Solution Labs Vietnam Co., Ltd., is expected to fortify software development and delivery capabilities and enhance business growth in the office solutions sector.
KONICA MINOLTA FPT Solution Labs was established this April in response to the increasing demand for advanced print management. It is expected to optimize software development for multifunction devices, enhance efficiency and productivity, and thereby offer more value to end-users. KONICA MINOLTA FPT Solution Labs Vietnam was launched to realize this vision, with Vietnam being the key development hub for the company.
Leveraging FPT’s extensive technology expertise and highly skilled workforce, the company will focus on developing software for multifunction printers (MFPs) and a broader range of office solutions and peripheral products. The Vietnamese IT workforce will serve as an offshore development team to ensure seamless delivery and continuous technological advancements.
Japan is among FPT’s largest overseas markets, with FPT Japan established over two decades ago. FPT Japan is now one of the country’s largest foreign-invested tech firms in terms of human resources, with 3,500 employees working in 17 local offices and innovation hubs and nearly 15,000 employees working from overseas. FPT Japan has been providing services and solutions to over 450 clients worldwide, supporting their digital transformation through strategic consulting services and advanced technology solutions such as AI, machine learning, and cloud computing. The company recently joined other leading IT companies in forming the Vietnam Association of Digital Transformation in Japan, serving as the Association's Chair Company.
