March 23, 2016 in Tokyo, Japan, FPT Software have cooperated with Meros Academy to organize the Graduation ceremony for the first-course students graduated from the “10,000 Bridge Software Engineers” program initiated by FPT Software. The event welcomed the participation of Mr. Pham Quang Hung, representative of the Vietnamese Embassy to Japan, Mrs. Kagawa Junko – Principal of the Meros Language Institute, Mrs. Quach Lieu Hoan, Director of the program and representatives from all the partners of the program.
The participants of the program joined Meros Institute in Japan on March, 2015 as one track of the program, apart from training in Vietnam’s universities or at FPT Software. After one year, 100% of students achieved Japanese language level N2 and were equipped with a full range of knowledge and soft skills necessary to meet the requirements of the Bridge Software Engineer (BrSE) job. 100% of participants were recruited shortly after graduation; of which 80% of participants were employed at leading companies in Japan. The rest of the students joined FPT Software in projects with Japanese clients.
“10k BrSEs” is one of FPT Software’s training programs initiated at the end of 2014 to train Vietnamese IT resources to target the IT needs of Japanese market and contribute to the company’s goal of 30,000 personnel by 2020. The program is also one of FPT’s Social Responsibility initiatives to help raising Vietnam’s profile on the global digital map. By the end of 2015, 688 bridge software engineers have graduated from the program, including graduates from FPT Software’s internal training program.
