FPT has signed a strategic agreement with ABOV Semiconductor, a leader in microcontroller design, advanced non-volatile memory, and semiconductor solutions, to advance semiconductor technology development in South Korea. The signing ceremony saw the presence of South Korean Prime Minister Kim Min-seok and General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee To Lam, underscoring the high-level significance of the partnership.

The collaboration will leverage FPT-designed chips, with a focus on the South Korean market, while jointly researching, designing, and developing next-generation semiconductor solutions. By combining FPT’s technological expertise with ABOV Semiconductor’s proven capabilities, the partnership aims to deliver highly competitive products tailored to the demands of South Korea’s growing semiconductor industry. Both companies will also collaborate to broaden the applications and market reach of their semiconductor offerings in the region.

For its overall strategy, FPT aims to build a comprehensive semiconductor ecosystem, ranging from the development of highly skilled talent to offering advanced services such as custom integrated circuit (IC) design, advanced packaging, and semiconductor testing.

Since establishing its presence in South Korea in 2016, FPT has established offices in Seoul and Daegu, employing over 300 dedicated experts in South Korea and more than 2,500 offshore engineers. The company provides IT services to leading enterprises across multiple industries, including LG Electronics, LG CNS, Shinsegae I&C, and Shinhan Bank. In 2024, FPT recorded over 60% revenue growth in the South Korean market, driven notably by its automotive solutions, SAP, ERP, and low-code services.
