STOCKHOLM, Sweden - June 12, 2025 - Global technology corporation FPT is now exploring to establish a collaboration with WARA Media & Language (WARA M&L), part of the Wallenberg, AI, Autonomous Systems and Software Program (WASP), Sweden’s largest individual research initiative, on next-generation artificial intelligence (AI) development. The collaboration would seek to accelerate impactful and responsible innovation within one of Europe’s most dynamic AI ecosystems.

The two parties met to express their interest in collaboration in a ceremony witnessed by Vietnam Prime Minister H.E. Pham Minh Chinh during his official visit to Sweden. To establish the collaboration, WARA Media and Language intends to propose to the WASP management that FPT be approved as a partner in the WARA portfolio of collaborating companies.

Engineers and researchers from both sides will, if a collaboration is established, jointly advance projects led by WARA M&L, bridging cutting-edge research with practical deployment. By combining WARA M&L’s scientific depth with FPT’s global talent and AI expertise, joint initiatives would focus on critical AI domains, such as multimodal learning, creative AI, and the development of responsible AI.
WARA M&L’s work spans embodied machine learning, graph-based models, multimodal foundation models, and AI for creative tasks. The arena is also a key contributor to GPT-SW3, the first large-scale generative language model for Nordic languages, developed in collaboration with AI Sweden, Research Institutes of Sweden, and NVIDIA. Leveraging WARA M&L’s extensive network and capabilities, the potential partnership is also expected to support FPT’s strategic goals in AI development and expansion in Sweden, as well as the wider European region.

FPT’s strategic focus on AI aligns with the direction set by the Swedish Commission’s AI Roadmap for Sweden (AI-RFS). As Sweden pledges €1.5 billion to strengthen its AI capabilities, the emphasis is shifting toward faster, large-scale adoption across industries. Leveraging its global expertise and proven technologies, FPT will contribute to Sweden and the Nordic region’s ambitious development goals, driving transformative change while fostering strong regional collaboration and global partnerships.

Mdm Chu Thi Thanh Ha, FPT Software Chairwoman, FPT Corporation, said: “FPT sees great potential in leveraging the latest technologies, particularly AI, to drive innovation, advance research, and deliver practical, scalable solutions that create real impact across industries. We are also actively developing an AI-proficient workforce through specialized training programs from our own education ecosystem and partnerships with the world's leading AI companies and research institutions. Through partnering with WARA Media & Language, we hope to deepen our position as a trusted IT partner in the Nordic region, accompanying organizations here with open innovation, talent development, and long-term investment.”

Johanna Björklund, Project Manager of WARA Media & Language, also commented: "We are excited to have this opportunity and look forward to a meaningful partnership. A potential collaboration would drive innovation and create mutual benefits through our combined strengths and shared goals.”

AI remains at the heart of FPT’s strategic direction. The company boasts over a decade of experience in AI research and development. Backed by strategic investments and partnerships with world-class organizations such as NVIDIA, LandingAI, and Mila, and so on, FPT is actively providing end-to-end AI solutions tailored to the specific needs of various industries and shaping the next generation of AI-driven talent.
