Following the significant growth of the automotive industry, our client - a leader in e-mobility and smart home solutions with a strong presence in over 20 European countries - turned to FPT Software. The client’s challenges included moving from monolith to microservices and managing the infrastructure of over 20,000 charging stations across multiple countries. FPT Software introduced the Infrastructure Control (ICON) system as a solution, enabling efficient management of the client's extensive charging station network. This system reported real-time energy demands, station status, and other critical performance indicators. As a result, drivers from various locations can conveniently access 42,000 charging points in 27 countries. The ICON system underwent over 70 continuous improvement and extension releases developed by 20 teams. And within just one month, it facilitated a staggering 100,000 charging sessions.
